Managing mental wellbeing through the current crisis

Global mental health campaigner and international keynote speaker, Rob Stephenson, joined us on 25th March to share his thoughts and practical takeaways on promoting positive mental wellbeing through the COVID-19 crisis. Rob explored some of the issues around the pillars of wellbeing and remote working including:

• Social connections
• Management of stress and anxiety
• Structuring the working day
• Nutrition
• Sleep
• The creative process

The session was followed by 30 minutes of Q&A, where Rob provided lots of great advice for those of you trying to get used to this new way of working.

About the speakers:

Rob Stephenson is an international keynote speaker, campaigner and consultant who is on a mission to help create happier, healthier and higher performing workplaces. He experiences bipolar disorder personally.

Rob is the founder of Inside-Out.org, a social enterprise with the mission of smashing the stigma of mental ill-health in the workplace by showcasing senior leader role models with lived experiences of mental ill-health.

Rob is also working on a technology platform to help all employees authentically answer the question “How are you today?” – reflecting on what is driving their mental health and supporting those around them.

In his keynote talks, Rob inspires audiences to think differently about mental health and wellbeing. Sharing his personal story to send a strong message that it really is OK to talk about mental ill-health; inspiring Boards and senior leadership teams to treat wellbeing as a strategic priority and helping employees to take personal accountability for their mental health.
