Helping more tenants with accessibility needs find the right home
Webinar recorded live on
Currently, trying to find a home in the private rented sector can be a challenging experience for a tenant using a wheelchair. It’s important that accessibility experts, agents and property portals work together to make it easier for a wheelchair user to find the information they need to decide if a property is suitably accessible for them.
We were joined by Guy Harris, Director of AccessiblePRS, and Richard Davies, Head of Lettings at Chestertons. Together they covered the following in more detail:
The difficulties that someone using a wheelchair currently faces in finding the right rental property
The information an agent can collect about a property, which would be helpful for someone with accessibility needs
The key terminology that is most helpful for wheelchair users
How including accessibility information can improve your service and make you stand out
The additional training that Guy Harris provides from AccessiblePRS to enable agents to become more confident displaying accessibility information on listings
