- Now in its third year, Rightmove’s Greener Homes report tracks the progress toward sustainable homes, using our whole-of-market data. It outlines the current obstacles, suggests ways to accelerate the green transition, and reveals thousands of opinions, including those of agents. Thank you to everyone who shared your thoughts for inclusion in this years’ report.

Backing agents’ success with advocacy
Q2 2024
- Back in April, we asked you to share your thoughts on the public’s biggest misconception about estate agency. Thank you to everyone who responded. There were some common themes which came up in your responses, which we’ve grouped below.
- The most common theme was around home-movers’ understanding of your role. Many of you felt that home-buyers didn’t understand what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ and didn’t understand the intricacies of your role.
- Many of you felt estate agents were perceived as untrustworthy, with age-old stereotypes impacting the public’s perception as a whole.
- And many of you felt consumers didn’t value your service, and underestimate how much effort, time and money goes into marketing their properties.
Do you agree? We’re hosting a discussion panel in September where together, we’ll take a deeper dive into the misconceptions you face and how Rightmove could support you in tackling them head on. Register here >
