FAQs – Your leads and service/security emails will soon come from a new email address


What is happening?

Rightmove leads and service/security emails will soon be sent from a new ‘From’ email address: admin@update.rightmove.co.uk

 

Why is this change happening?

As part of our ongoing efforts to modernise and future-proof Rightmove’s technology, we’re evolving the platform to be more secure and resilient. This includes updating how we send leads and service emails to partners.

 

When will this change happen?

You will start receiving leads and service/security emails from admin@update.rightmove.co.uk from 4th February 2026. If you use email rules, your new rules will need to be in place, alongside your existing rules, by this date.

What if I don’t use email rules?

If you do not currently use rules to organize and/or distribute leads or service/security emails from Rightmove, you do not need to set up new rules. We do though encourage you to add the new email address ‘admin@update.rightmove.co.uk’ to your email system ‘safe sender’ list.

 

I don’t know how to add new rules?

If you have access to internal or external IT support, seek their assistance in the first instance. Alternatively guides for common email systems can be found here:

How do I add the new email address to my safe sender/allow list?

If you have access to internal or external IT support, seek their assistance in the first instance. Alternatively. guides for common email systems can be found here:

Apple Mail: There is not a ‘safe sender’ function, but you can set up a rule so that emails from the new address: admin@update.rightmove.co.uk are sent to your Inbox or another folder. Find out about setting up rules in Apple Mail here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mail/mlhlp1017/mac

 

What if I receive Rightmove leads and/or notices through a 3rd party CRM or software system?

We strongly encourage you to speak with your CRM software provider to ensure they are aware of this change and are taking any actions they need to in order to ensure that you continue to receive your Rightmove leads as you expect to in future.

 

I’ve previously received emails from Rightmove about contacting my CRM software provider, do I need to do so again?

Yes. If you have not checked with your CRM software provider that they are aware of this specific change and whether they need to take any action, then it is important you do so. Previous emails would have related to different changes.

 

What if I am in the process of changing to a different CRM or software provider?

You should check with both your existing CRM software provider, as well as your soon-to-be provider, that they are both aware of the change and are taking any action necessary to ensure that you continue to receive your Rightmove leads as you expect in future.

 

What if we have our own software or CRM system?

You should speak with your internal tech team, or whoever is responsible for the software, to ensure that they are aware of the change and are making any necessary adjustments.

 

What if I don’t do anything?

If your business relies on rules to organize or distribute leads or service/security emails sent by Rightmove and you take no action, in future you will not receive leads and service/security emails from Rightmove as you currently do.

 

What if my CRM software provider does not make changes?

If your CRM software provider’s systems rely on using the ‘From’ address to manage and distribute Rightmove emails, and they do not make any changes, then you will not receive Rightmove leads and service/security notices as you expect to in future.

 

Should I replace my existing email rules?

No. Keep your existing rules and add new ones that do the same thing but which use the new email address ‘admin@update.rightmove.co.uk’. There will be a transition period where you may receive some leads and service/security emails from existing Rightmove email addresses, and others from ‘admin@update.rightmove.co.uk’ so it is important to keep your existing rules in place and add new ones.

 

Will subject lines of Rightmove lead and service/security emails be changing?

No, all subject lines will remain the as they are currently. Only the ‘From’ email address will be changing.

 

Will the content of Rightmove lead and service/security emails be changing?

No, the content of all emails will remain as is currently. Only the ‘From’ email address will be changing.

 

What if I only use rules for some Rightmove leads or service/security emails?

Keep your existing rules and add new ones which do the same thing but which use the new email ‘From’ address: admin@update.rightmove.co.uk
