FAQs: Impact on receiving leads and/or managing properties via your CRM

Despite our efforts to engage and work with your CRM software provider to help them make technical changes they need to make, they have not made these changes.

Does this impact my business?

If we emailed you on 10th April 2026 about your CRM provider having not made a change to update their security certificate, then yes, you will be impacted from 23rd April 2026.

What is the required change?

Your CRM software provider needs to update their security certificate, but they have not done this.

What is the impact on me?

From 23rd April 2026 you will no longer be able to do the following via your CRM software:

  • Upload and edit property listings on Rightmove via your CRM
  • Receive your Rightmove leads in your CRM

Is there anything I can do?

Unfortunately, due to timelines, it is now unlikely the above impact can be avoided. The only way to avoid this impact, or to quickly resolve it following 23rd April, is for your CRM software provider to update their security certificate.

We will assist your CRM provider to do this. You can encourage your provider to contact us using: 01908 712 359 or adfsupport@rightmove.co.uk

What does this mean for my leads?

You will no longer receive leads via your CRM system from 23rd April 2026.

Your alternative – We will continue to deliver leads to you via email following 23rd April. You can view and update the email address which branch leads are sent to within Rightmove Plus. An Admin user will need to go to ‘Branch Marketing’ and view the ‘About your branch’ contact information.

You can contact our Customer Support team on 01908 712300 or customersupport@rightmove.co.uk if you need help viewing or updating the email address we send your leads to if you are unsure.

What does this mean for me managing properties on Rightmove?

If you manage properties on Rightmove (add, edit, remove) via your CRM system, you won’t be able to manage properties on Rightmove via your CRM from 23rd April.

Your alternative – You can do this using Rightmove Plus. However, you will need to have the correct permissions. Your Rightmove Plus Admin user for a branch can change permissions.

You can contact our Customer Support team on 01908 712300 or customersupport@rightmove.co.uk if you need help setting-up a Rightmove Plus Admin user for a branch.

What if my CRM software provider makes the changes after the 23rd April deadline?

Your ability to receive leads and/or manage properties via your CRM system will be temporarily impacted.

Impact on leads:

From 23rd April and before your CRM software provider updates their systems, you will not receive leads via your CRM system, you will only receive these via email. Once your CRM software provider has made the necessary changes, your leads will once again deliver to you via your CRM software.

Impact on managing properties on Rightmove:

During this period, you will also not be able to manage properties on Rightmove – upload, edit, remove – via your CRM software system. Once your CRM software provider has made the necessary changes, you will once again be able to do this via your CRM software. See the above section ‘What if my CRM software provider doesn’t make the necessary updates?’ for information about managing property listings via Rightmove Plus during this period.

We recommend that you keep the property listings on your CRM software up to date during this period. If your CRM software also manages property listings on your website and other portals, it is likely you will do this anyway. We also recommend that you use the same reference for each property listing in both your CRM system and in Rightmove Plus.

If during the period you have been updating property listings within your CRM software, and the ‘reference’ for each property listing is the same in your CRM software as it is in Rightmove Plus, your listings and the information within them will be up to date when your CRM software has been updated by your provider.

If during the period you have NOT been updating your property listings within your CRM system and you do use the same reference for property listings in both your CRM and in Rightmove Plus; the information in your CRM system will override the information you have updated via Rightmove Plus, once your CRM software provider has made their updates.

If during the period you have been updating your property listings in your CRM but you have not been using the same reference for each property listing in both your CRM system and Rightmove Plus, once your CRM software provider makes their updates, your CRM will create new listings for properties you have already created listings for in Rightmove Plus.
