A new and improved way to reach, educate and win over renters, designed exclusively with and for Build to Rent Providers
Many of you have told us you want Build to Rent properties to stand out more when renters are searching on Rightmove, and for extra support in educating renters about the benefits of Build to Rent. Although there’s still a low awareness of Build to Rent among renters (only 1 in 5 have heard of it1) we know there are lots of aspects that appeal to renters more widely once they do discover Build to Rent.
7 of the top 10 keyword sort terms used by renters on Rightmove are relevant to Build to Rent. Rental searches including the term “new build” jumped from 16th place in 2020 to 10th place in 20212 as demand increased. With affordability factors being a key driver for renters property decisions3, it’s more important than ever to educate renters about the benefits included in a Build to Rent property to grow awareness and appeal within the wider rental market.
With almost 77 million searches for lettings properties on Rightmove every month, from 8.7 million people4, Rightmove is uniquely placed to influence renters and support Build to Rent providers. So we want to do more to help renters discover your Build to Rent properties and communities.

Your new Build to Rent listing has been designed to stand out in the search results with a bigger, bolder advert, a new label and a customisable facilities panel to showcase what sets your property apart from the standard rental market.
Educate renters in the property details
Once in your property listing, renters enter the consideration phase. This is where they can find out more details about your property and development before deciding whether to contact you. Your new Build to Rent property details page includes a branded and customisable facilities panel to showcase all the benefits of choosing life at your development. The property carousel shows renters other units available at your development, helping you to cross sell higher value properties once the renter better understands what’s included and keep them engaged with your development for longer.
