Kissimmee is the most searched for location in Florida

New data from the UK’s biggest overseas property website Rightmove reveals that Kissimmee is the most searched for location in Florida.

Kissimmee is in close proximity to the many theme parks in Florida, situated right next to Orlando which is best known for its Universal, Disney and Harry Potter resorts amongst others
Miami in the south of Florida is second in the list of most searched for areas, and Orlando is third.

Florida’s climate attracts British buyers year after year, and it remains the most searched for location overall in the USA.

Alistair Brown, founder of Alistair Brown International Real Estate in Florida, said: “Florida offers a huge list of lifestyles and the benefit of a year-round climate makes a massive difference. Many, if not most, home buyers start their journey following the great experiences they have enjoyed on Florida vacations, quite often in a villa or condominium that gets their interest. The added attraction is rental income which is unparalleled compared with any other destination. We see a huge uplift in enquiries in the winter as the dark and wet days get people dreaming and planning.

“Kissimmee and Osceola County have long been the established areas in Central Florida for UK and other visitors. In truth, this is the arena for most of the action including of course Walt Disney World. The area is home to many of the best and well-known communities, resort and hotels that have been built over the last 30 years to support the massive demand from the global visitors that are attracted to the area. With this the town and county have made continuous improvements to infrastructure and growth.

“We see many British buyers looking in Florida who have seen how their holiday money being spent on vacations in the many areas of Florida could be used to help them buy their own home here.”

Rachel Beaton, Rightmove’s Overseas Insights Expert, added: “This time of year we tend to see many British buyers looking at warmer destinations overseas on Rightmove, perhaps inspired by a recent trip or a long-time ambition to move to a sunnier location. Florida is so wide and varied in its attractions that it is clear to see why there is so much interest from Brits every year, whether they are looking for their own home for the holidays or moving over permanently.”
